Searching for an SNJ Volunteer : Communication, digital promotion and global citizenship education

As part of the National Voluntary Service (SVN), ONGD-FNEL is looking for a volunteer to join its team and play an active role in its projects and activities.

The role combines digital communication, global citizenship education, activities and events, with plenty of scope for the volunteer’s creativity, initiatives and suggestions. To encourage the volunteer to develop a personal project in line with our day-to-day activities, we prefer a commitment of at least 6 months, up to 1 year.

 

Main tasks

Communication and digital strategy

  • The volunteer will contribute to the ONGD-FNEL’s communication efforts and to promoting its activities and projects.
  • Help manage and maintain the organisation’s website.
  • Create and publish content for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Tailor content to different audiences and communication channels.
  • Help to promote the organisation’s initiatives and projects.
  • Suggest ideas to develop digital communication and improve the visibility of ONGD-FNEL’s activities.

 

Global Citizenship Education (GCE)

  • The volunteer will help to design and deliver activities as part of the ‘InterCultures en Action’ global citizenship education programme.
  • Help to prepare and facilitate GCE activities and events.
  • Contribute to activities focusing on interculturalism, socio-cultural injustices and living together harmoniously.
  • Take part in brainstorming and the implementation of new initiatives.
  • Contribute to the preparation of resources and activities tailored to different audiences.
  • Communicate about the programme and its activities.

 

Event and day-to-day tasks

  • The volunteer will also take part in events organised by ONGD-FNEL and assist with day-to-day office tasks.
  • Help organise and run activities and events.
  • Interact with a variety of people during the organisation’s activities.
  • Contribute to the practical and logistical preparation of activities.
  • Provide occasional support with the presentation and promotion of projects carried out in Nepal.
  • Provide support with the office’s administrative and logistical tasks.

 

The volunteer will also be asked to propose a personal project in the field of communications and/or as part of the GCE programme.

 

Candidate profile

We are looking for a motivated, empathetic and creative individual who can share ideas and is keen to get involved in the activities of an organisation dedicated to development cooperation and global citizenship education.

 

The candidate with are looking for:

  • is comfortable using social media and creating content;
  • enjoys working with people and is at ease with a variety of audiences;
  • enjoys working as part of a team whilst also being able to work independently (albeit under supervision);
  • is curious, creative and keen to learn;
  • is interested in issues of intercultural understanding, solidarity and social justice;
  • has good writing and organisational skills.
