Project 018 / 2024 – 2028

019

In response to critical issues in Nepal, our project tackles gender disparity in education and employment, lack of access to education and jobs for rural youth, and insufficient support for farmers. Building on our successful 2019-2023 project with Shikharapur Community Learning Centre (SCLC), we aim to enhance and expand our impact. The current project emphasizes sustainable agriculture, organic farming, and entrepreneurship, contributing to economic growth and self-sufficiency.

  • Key objectives: The project's core objectives include providing education and skills development for rural youth, creating women entrepreneurs' groups, raising awareness about women's rights, and promoting learning opportunities for students. By addressing gender inequality, limited access to education, and inadequate agricultural resources, we aim to empower communities, create self-employment opportunities, and foster lasting social and economic transformation.

  • The project's main activities include providing education and skills development for rural women and youth through strategic residential facilities. Practical training covers agriculture, entrepreneurship, and project management, with free admission for at least 20 youth. The project also establishes women entrepreneur groups in neighboring villages, replicating successful efforts and recruiting agricultural experts. It aims to raise awareness of women's rights through non-formal education programs and promotes learning opportunities for students.
