Since 2017, NGDO-FNEL has been working with SCLC in the village of Pharping, supporting training projects in innovative and sustainable farming techniques. They also target capacity building for disadvantaged young people, and adults, from rural areas.

SCLC's main objective is to create an environment that enables young people to develop their skills, work independently, explore the opportunities offered by the agricultural market and persuade them to stop taking insecure jobs in other countries.

Two SCLC representatives, the director and a former beneficiary, will be in Luxembourg from 24 April to 8 May 2024. They will be taking part in a number of events to meet the people of Luxembourg and raise awareness of the living conditions of Nepalese farmers, women and young people in rural areas, as well as to discuss the transition to more sustainable agriculture.

The ONGD-FNEL, in collaboration with the Lycée Technique Agricole, is pleased to invite you to a conference on the theme of "Education for and through sustainable agriculture" as part of this partner's visit. The event will take place on 7 May 2024, starting at 6.45pm, at the Lycée Technique Agricole in Gilsdorf.
